Rebounding Economies Push Hotel Rates Higher

Rob Gill of Air and Business Travel News discusses a recent survey by Hotels.com in which the hotel booking agency calculated a 4% overall increase globally in hotel rates in 2011 as compared to the previous year. http://www.abtn.co.uk/news/1317104-business-travel-recovery-fuels-hotel-price-rises

The rise in hotel rates, although potentially discouraging to travelers, serves as a positive marker for the global economy.  With certain countries in particular, higher hotels rates serve to be very indicative of their increasing growth and expansion.
